What to Expect/FAQs

Q. Do you have childcare?

A.  Yes!  We provide childcare and Bible classes for birth through 5th grade for our Sunday services, as well as for most of our weekly church activities.  Contact Deborah Cuellar, our Children's Minister at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  for more information.

Q. What kind of music do you sing?

A.   Although are services are mostly contemporary in style, we also blend in traditional hymns and even an occasional Hispanic praise chorus.   Most of all what we strive for in our music is to lead people into an authentic experience of  expressing our love for and appreciation to God.

Q. What are your service times?

A.  We have three morning service times at 8:30am, 9:45am and 11:15am on Sunday Morning.  The 8:30am service is our "Cafe Real" coffee-house worship time with coffee and donuts served.  At 10:45, between our 9:45 and 11:15 services, visit around tables with your old or new friends whole enjoying coffee, juice and donuts.  We also have a Sunday evening service at 5:00pm - "Video Cafe Real" - with live worship, and a video rebroadcast of the morning message.  Sit around tables and enjoy the "VCR" worship service and a full dinner.  (Yes, we like to eat around here!).

Q. How long are your services?

A.  All of our services run an average of 55-65 minutes in length.

Q. What should I wear?

A. You are free to dress any way you like as long as it is modest and somewhat tasteful.  (Shoes, shirts and pants are strongly encouraged).  We don't encourage suits or ties but, whatever floats your boat! The pastor normally wears Dockers and a polo in the warmer months.  If you see him in a suit, somebody died or is getting married.

Q. Will I be asked for money?

A. Although we do feel that giving is an important part of worship and responsible church membership, you won't hear us asking for money very often.  In fact, we ask visitors and guests NOT to give.  We just want the opportunity to be a blessing to you.

Q. Will I be embarrassed or singled out in any way?

A. No.  We respect your right to check us out as anonymously as you desire.  You won't be asked to identify your self as a visitor.  However, if you would like, we have a feedback card and a Welcome Center where you can obtain all the information about the church you wish.

Q. Where are you located?

A. The Church's facilities are located at 3101 S. Main, Las Cruces NM. If you're not familiar with the area, please take a look at the map below. Be careful not to turn on Conway Street! Although it looks like it will take you to MPCC, it actually joins I-10 South. You'll then have to loop back around up I-25 to get back to University Avenue.
