Mesilla Park Community Church
strives to share Christ's love and truth with our community, as well
as, those in communities outside of Las Cruces. We truly desire to be
and are becoming a church of which our community takes notice as
demonstrating the grace and compassion of Jesus Christ.
Over three winters we have
collected well over 4000 coats and 1000 blankets which were distributed
to poor families in our area. We have given thousands of dollars to
local and foreign ministries, charities, and disaster relief. Many
volunteers have spent and continue to spend many hours to give people who are hurting and struggling, not just a hand-out, but a hand-up in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are privileged to work together with the following
and with many other organizations to show Christ's love to our
community and world. Here is a listing of some of these, past and
present. Those which are underlined are links to their local or, in
some cases, national websites:
Our congregation has helped in the building and painting of
the facilities, provided supplies and clothing, and prayer support. We
are continuing our support in various ways. If you would like to help
with River of Mercy please contact Ratha @ 524-7658.
Most of our work done at the rescue mission is
performed through Community Groups, who have prepared and served hot
meals, and remodeled family rooms in this facility which serves the
homeless.
Once again a ministry to the poor and homeless initiated by
Community Groups.
Coats for Kids
This is an all-church, seasonal outreach. In 2009 alone,
over 1600 coats were collected.
The students in our "Driven Youth Ministries" have collected
thousands of dollars
to help clothe, feed, and educate children in impoverished
nations.
